      Honesty, willingness to help and loyalty – similar to what you’d value from people in general 🙂

      I would also say honestly as well as open-mindedness and a good work ethic. It’s important to have a good research group who can work together.

      I’d say that I admire scientists who are rigorous and know their field well (being specialized), whilst also retaining a broad knowledge of science in general. It’s also great to be hard and smart working (i.e knowing what exactly needs to be done and then doing it efficiently and quickly!). And being able to get along with people and work with them, but also go solo if need be.
