In short – it doesn’t get boring! There’s always something new to be found, unexpected results to be rationalised and it’s an ongoing challenge. It keeps you on your feet/thinking hard! 🙂

I agree with Ruhina. I get bored easily but my job constantly presents me with things that are new, interesting and sometimes puzzling.

I really love being able to figure out why things aren’t working or why they didn’t do what you expected. It’s all about problem solving!

Hi Russ – I really like the insight it gives me into the world around me. It’s really empowering to be able to read a label on a household product (or food!) and understand what’s in it, and even how those chemicals could be made. It’s great to be able to look at something and say “aha, I know where you came from and what we have in common!”. And nothing beats trying to think of all the different processes that are occurring around you – plants photosynthesizing, your cells thrumming as they break down glucose with the oxygen that has been dissolved in your blood and transported using haemoglobin – it’s quite impressive!
