• Question: What cells do you plan to grow on the polymer?

      Hi Bethany,

      Great question, initially we will try different types of cells to see if they are affected by the polymer in different ways. We can measure how happy a cell is on the polymer by how much they grow/ die, their shape and anything they may produce which can tell us if they like or don’t like the polymer. We will grow bone cells, cartilage cells, stem cells and fibroblasts (make structural proteins), hopefully the cells will like the polymers I’ve made!
