• Question: Do you think that were will eventually be a strong polymer which will still be able to be melted back down, even though it contains cross linking chains?

      Hey Big Daz,
      Yes I do! Though to fully ‘melt’ it back down the cross links would have to be broken down too and then re-made when you want to re-model the polymer. Our research group has done some work in this area with reversible cross links that are degraded with mild acids such as citric acids. This degradation changes the thermoset material into a thermoplastic which can be re-modeled.
