Not at all, but if you’re really interested in “science family trees” you can look up scientists on Wikipedia and see who supervised them. Most physicists like Dirac were supervised by some pretty good physicists, and then at some point everyone transitions to doctors, purely because the sciences as we know them hadn’t been established.
